Understanding Yourself Begins with Clarity

When life feels confusing, or your symptoms don’t fit neatly into a single box, an accurate assessment can make all the difference. Many adults come to me after years of trying to understand patterns in their attention, mood, behavior, or relationships—often feeling misunderstood or misdiagnosed along the way.

A thoughtful psychological evaluation provides more than labels or scores. It’s a collaborative process that helps you see yourself more clearly, understand how your mind works, and make informed decisions about treatment, work, or daily life.

A Collaborative, Personalized Process

My approach to assessment is warm, thorough, and highly individualized. Every evaluation begins with a conversation about what’s bringing you in and what questions you hope to answer. From there, I design a plan that fits your goals—whether that’s clarifying a diagnosis, identifying cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities, or deepening self-understanding.

All assessments include a comprehensive clinical interview, evidence-based testing, and a detailed feedback session. I’ll walk you through the findings using clear, meaningful language and provide a written report that integrates results with practical recommendations for therapy, daily life, and professional or academic settings where accommodations or support may be helpful

Types of Evaluations

I offer assessments for adults seeking greater understanding and clarity in areas such as:

  • Determining whether symptoms meet diagnostic criteria for ADHD and assessing related factors such as attention, working memory, and executive functioning to better understand focus, organization, and follow-through.

  • Evaluating communication style, social patterns, and sensory sensitivities in adults who may not have been recognized earlier in life.

  • For situations where symptoms overlap, or past diagnoses haven’t fully captured your experience, a comprehensive evaluation can identify underlying factors such as mood, trauma, or personality patterns and support more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

  • Using evidence-based tests to evaluate learning, memory, attention, and processing speed. These assessments can clarify how cognitive functioning is influenced by factors such as stress, trauma, mood, or substance use, and, when appropriate, help identify or rule out cognitive conditions contributing to changes in thinking or performance. The results include tailored recommendations to support concentration, organization, and daily functioning.

How Assessment Can Help

An assessment can be an empowering turning point. Clients often describe a sense of relief in finally having answers—or at least, a clearer map of what’s been happening. You may discover:

  • A more accurate understanding of your strengths and challenges

  • Validation for experiences that may have felt confusing or dismissed

  • Clearer treatment recommendations for therapy, collaborative care, or workplace support

  • Greater confidence in how to communicate your needs and advocate for yourself

Unlike online screenings or one-size-fits-all testing, this process is interactive and personal. We’ll make sense of the results together, connecting data to your lived experience and goals.

What The Assessment & Evaluation Process Looks Like

The assessment process begins with an initial consultation, where we discuss your background, questions, and goals. Testing sessions are scheduled based on the evaluation type and typically take place in person, though some portions may be completed remotely when appropriate. After testing is complete, we’ll meet for a feedback session to review findings, discuss next steps, and answer any questions.

You’ll receive a written report summarizing results, interpretations, and individualized recommendations that you can share with your therapist, physician, or other providers. Many clients describe this process as not only clarifying, but also validating and hopeful.
